Middle School

"Mom, can I go to WyldLife?" That's a common question at my house. All three of my kids loved WyldLife when they were in middle school, and my current 8th grader tries to attend every possible WyldLife happening. My daughters loved the fast food taste tests. My son liked the funny skits and the crazy games. The leaders are approachable and easy to talk to, and they have taken the time to get to know my kids as individuals. Parenting through the middle school years is hard. I'm grateful that WyldLife leaders have been there for my middle schoolers as role models, listeners, and yes- the occasional drive-thru indulgence! My 8th grader says, "I like to be with them because they respect me even though I'm a kid." What more can I say? Thank you WyldLife!

Wyldlife has been such an awesome experience for both of my kids! Color war, Polar Bear weekend, and hangouts at Barberitos are a few of the highlights this past year. Having great role models during these middle school years is priceless, and I am incredibly grateful for these college and adult leaders that are showing up in my kids’ lives- mentoring them, putting on fun and silly events, and just hanging out in the school lunchroom with them!

About WyldLife:

Leaders:

WyldLife leaders are local working adults and Young Life high school students who have seen the benefit of WyldLife when they were in middle school. WL Leaders seek to model and express God’s love to them by learning their names, hearing their stories and honoring their God-given desire for a life of fun, adventure and purpose. All leaders are background checked and trained.

Campaigners:

A smaller group where we read the Bible and talk about real life. We dive deeper into what it means to follow Jesus and how we can love our friends well. Contact your school team leader (listed above) to learn more about campaigners.

Club:

Bi-weekly meeting based on area/school: larger group, high energy, interactive, fast-paced, and FUN! Leaders use games, popular songs, skits and a lot of creativity when planning the club format. Club always ends with a leader sharing a simple message about God’s love for us. Fall Club schedules for Young Life and Wyldlife can be found here.

Camp:

Young Life camping involves high adventure, lots of fun, great food and excellent speakers who understand and respect middle school kids. At Young Life’s camps, kids are treated to resort-quality facilities. We get away from the pressures of every day life, have fun with friends and WL leaders, and hear the message of God’s love in terms we can understand. We go to camp for a weekend in the winter and for 5 days in the summer! Details about these trips will be on our events page.
